The Tony Forshey BAD VETERINARIAN AWARD was created by
Arrowhead Reptile Rescue to showcase and highlight inexcusable,
immoral, and unethical behavior by veterinarians against animals
and those who help them. The very first Tony
Forshey bad veterinarian award goes to.... Tony Forshey, head
veterinarian for years at the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
Tony Forshey was the head veterinarian in charge when
the Ohio Department of Agriculture declared that ARR was
an authorized facility to accept Dangerous Wild Animals.
The ODA sent us over a dozen pet alligators that were
confiscated and stolen from their owners by the ODA under the
direction and authority of Tony Forshey for two years, based on
a proposed law that had not even taken effect.
ARR helped the state of Ohio and the ODA by accepting
all of these alligators and sending them to appropriate
sanctuaries in Florida. But the ODA didn't believe
us. They think the mother of our organizations
founder must have been hiding alligators under her bed because
they raided her house also when they raided our volunteers
homes, even though she isn't even involved with animals, looking
for the alligators they sent us. Tony Forshey sent two
veterinarians barely out of diapers who couldn't even tell what
species of crocodilians we had to violate our volunteer's civil
rights all because we helped them with animals.
For sending your minion veterinarians out to terrorize
innocent animal rescuers who help you, and for approving,
coordinating, and engaging in violent police raids against the
very people you ask for help, we are pleased to present this
very first Tony Forshey bad veterinarian award to Tony Forshey
and the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
